BoxValetTerms and Conditions of Use

By entering into the Rental Agreement, you (the "Renter") agree to rent the equipment as specified in the invoice and or order confirmation email (the "Equipment") issued by The Box Valet, LLC operating as “BoxValet”, (the "Owner") to the Renter (the "Invoice") according to these terms and conditions:

EQUIPMENT RENTED

BoxValet rents to Renter, and Renter hires from BoxValet, the specific Equipment listed in the Order Confirmation email sent at the time the order was placed. Upon pickup of the Equipment from BoxValet’s location, it is the Renter’s responsibility to inspect the order for completeness and immediately notify BoxValet before leaving the premises of any discrepancies.

 

RENTAL TERMS

The rental period begins on the scheduled pickup date. All Equipment must be picked up and returned by the Renter (or an authorized representative over the age of 18) at the following address:

BoxValet may, at its discretion, cancel the Rental Agreement at any time during the term if it determines that the Renter is misusing the Equipment, failing to meet the terms of this Agreement, or has otherwise breached the Agreement.

PICKUP AND RETURN

 

Pickup: The Renter is responsible for collecting the Equipment from BoxValet’s location on the scheduled pickup date and time. Renter must present a valid ID or order confirmation at pickup.

Return: The Equipment is considered returned when it has been physically received by BoxValet at the above address, in good working condition.

Late Returns: If Equipment is returned after the scheduled return date/time, additional rental charges will apply (see Section 4).

Lost/Damaged Equipment: If Equipment is lost, stolen, seized, or damaged beyond normal wear and tear while in the Renter’s possession, Renter will be charged the full replacement value, plus any applicable rental charges until the matter is resolved.

 

RENTAL RATES AND CHARGES

Rent must be paid in full prior to pickup.

No allowance or refund will be made for unused items.

Late returns will be charged at a rate of $50 per bundle per week, with a minimum charge of one week.

If the Renter is non-responsive with a past-due balance of 72 hours or more, the Renter’s card on file will be automatically charged.

If the Renter fails to return Equipment within two weeks after the scheduled return date, the Equipment will be deemed lost, and the replacement value will be charged to the card on file or invoiced if no card is on file.

RENTAL EXTENSIONS

 

Renter may extend the rental term (up to three weeks) by revising your reservation on the BoxValet website or by notifying BoxValet via email or text at least 48 hours prior to the original return date. Extensions are granted at BoxValet’s discretion and must be paid at the time of request.

 

Extension Rates:

 

• Studio Bundle – $18/week
• 1 Bedroom Bundle – $30/week
• 2 Bedroom Bundle – $42/week
• 3 Bedroom Bundle – $60/week
• 4 Bedroom Bundle – $90/week
• 5+ Bedroom Bundle – $120/week

 

RISK OF LOSS

Renter assumes full responsibility for Equipment from the time it leaves BoxValet’s possession until it is returned. If damage or loss occurs, the Renter will be charged for repairs or replacement at the values listed in Section 7.

 

REPLACEMENT VALUE

Moving Box – $20 each

BoxValet Dolly – $100 each

 

DAMAGE PROTECTION

The optional BoxValet Rental Protection Package reduces Renter’s responsibility for damage to 50% of the repair/replacement cost (excludes loss or theft).

 

Cost: $35 per rental period

Does not cover intentional damage or negligence.

 

OPERATION & INDEMNIFICATION

Renter agrees to use Equipment safely and only for its intended purpose. BoxValet is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or other loss arising from Renter’s use or transport of the Equipment. Renter agrees to indemnify and hold BoxValet harmless from any related claims.

 

TITLE

This is a rental agreement only; no ownership is transferred. Equipment remains the sole property of BoxValet.

 

ALTERATION AND MAINTENANCE

No modifications to Equipment are permitted.

Only BoxValet-provided removable labels may be used.

Excessive cleaning fees: $3 per piece for adhesive residue, spills, stains, odors, or other extraordinary cleaning needs.

 

WARRANTY

BoxValet warrants that Equipment is in good working condition at pickup. Faulty Equipment will be replaced at no charge unless the issue results from misuse or damage by the Renter.

 

DEFAULT AND TERMINATION

If Renter fails to pay fees, violates the terms of this Agreement, or becomes insolvent, BoxValet may terminate the Agreement, recover Equipment, and seek all associated costs, including attorney’s fees.

 

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This document represents the full agreement between BoxValet and the Renter and may only be modified in writing, signed by both parties.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancel 24 hours or more before pickup date: no charge.

Cancel less than 24 hours before pickup: NO REFUND will be provided.

If Renter has already picked up Equipment and cancels, a $99 restocking fee will apply.

 

IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENT

To complete any rental, Renter must provide a valid, government-issued photo identification prior to or at the time of pickup. Identification must be uploaded through BoxValet’s secure system or presented in person at the time of pickup.    

• The name on the identification must match the name on the rental order and payment method.    
• If Renter designates an authorized representative to pick up the Equipment, that representative must also provide a valid, government-issued photo ID, and BoxValet must be notified in writing of the authorization prior to pickup.    
• Failure to provide acceptable identification will result in cancellation of the order, and the Renter may be subject to BoxValet’s cancellation policy.    
• BoxValet reserves the right to retain a secure record of the identification solely for verification and fraud prevention purposes, in compliance with applicable laws.

SURVIVAL

If any provision of this Agreement is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
